I can't believe its only been 2 weeks. It really seems like forever when you are trying for a baby and its such a shame we only ovulate once a month.
we know for certain that it didnt work this time but there is always that hopeful 'maybe'. it will be a miracle if it worked considering we inseminated like a week before she ovulated.
we bought another kit from www.insemination-help.com cause we thought a set of new containers and syringes might do the trick.

We aren't talking about it this month, last month we knew she was pregnant and that it worked and we talked about it all the time and when the test said positive I was thinking about buying another cot for the nursery. We are so desperate for this new baby its rediculous. If we hadn't waited so long to start trying then we wouldn't be in such a panic, but our body clock is ticking....
Did I mention that Rosy miscarried last month? I can't remember if I did or not. It was awful, poor thing was in quite a bit of pain and the disappointment - well u can imagine. Luckily it wasn't too far gone so she didn't need hospitalization. I look at miscarriage as a reason - it wasn't normal or ectopic or something, so I wasn't too bad. I would rather a miscarriage and a healthy baby a few months later than an unhealthy baby now if you know what I mean.
We are going out tonight, Rosy doesn't like Katie out after 7 so we have told our friends 4pm for dinner. It's heaps early but they would understand. Being in a gay relationship, we don't have any close friends with babies so we get quite a bit of attention and its great.
Miserable day outside today so think its a day for watching movies.

We didn't end up going to the Zoo, instead we went to a car boot sale. It was great because I finally found someone who sells pirate DVD's. I know a lot of people are against it but I really wanted to see 'Sex and the City' but didn't have anyone to go with. We are not ready yet to leave Katie on her own - just don't trust anyone enough yet. So anyway, i ended up getting a few movies and the guy's contact telephone number for any in the future. We took Rosy's mum with us as she doesnt get out much and appreciates the adventure.
Monday night i went to work as usual and Rosy rang me to say that Katie had an allergic reaction to a biscuit she gave her. It was quite severe with Katie having all red welts and rashes over her body, her eyes streaming and blotchy. I just told her to call the ambulance and she was admitted to the Children's Hospital. I wasn't too concerned as i knew she was in good hands, but I left work anyway to be with them. At first they gave her piriten or something and that didn't work so after an hour or so, they had to give her a dose of steroids. It worked a treat and we ended up home 4 hours later.
No news on Rosy's pregnancy yet - still a slight chance so you never know. She went to the doctors yesterday and finally ended up with a nice doctor who has given her a referral to the womens hospital due to the length of time its taken her to fall pregnant. They wouldn't do anything before without Kevin's sperm count but we know he's alright as I got pregnant straight away and he didn't seem too keen on it. He does enough I think so we really just want Rosy checked out.
She took guaifenessen during ovulation which i have heard a lot about, we found the pure stuff as also heard that the wrong cough medicine can be dangerous for the baby. It worked increasing her cervical mucus so next month she will do that again.

Rosy had the 'LH surge' yesterday. I told her not to check as we would be just disappointed when Kevin isnt able to provide for us this weekend. She said she has to chart the fertility cycle so still needs to check. She is now ovulating and i pray that some sperm was still hanging around up there when the egg was released, if so, then this baby really wanted to be born!!
Did I mention that Im also praying she has twins? there are quite a few twin set in her family so it would be absolutely brilliant if we do. i want a big family and as age isn't on our side, twins would be ideal.
We didn't do much today, just went shopping and pottered around the house. We are taking Katie to the zoo tomorrow as she has just started noticing animals. It would be good for her and very entertaining.

July
After unsuccessful attempts in October, January, February, April, May and June we have tried again.
I will be absolutely amazed if it works considering Rosy is ovulating on Monday and Kevin is away now till Wednesday.
It's not often he goes away, but when he does its always right on the dot of ovulation. It seemed so easy for me, but so difficult for Rosy. Too many things are against us this time.
We have inseminated on Tuesday and Thursday and we will again next Wednesday so fingers crossed she ovulates early or late this month.
Katie is wonderful, she is 8 months now and can sit up, clap her hands, say ma-ma and another couple of words, is just about crawling - but flops before the next movement.
I'm at work now and my eyes are killing me, gone are the days when i would sleep all morning.
